   "GLADLY and PROUDLY" pay for an ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL "income tax" that was NEVER ratified and was passed in the middle of the night at Christmas of 1913. Every law you can look up and every where you can find it - its VOLUNTARY - and Wesley Snipes knew that and so do a lot of other people. I dont pay income tax except when they doc it from my pay.

   Oh, and I'm not agreeing with the message at all. I'm a small government guy. The message behind the cartoon is devious and Walt was definitly no saint. But you do have to give him credit for helping the war movement at the time. It was like John Wayne, he couldn't go to war so he made all the war movies he could. It was all propaganda, but, this is one of the few occasions were hyper-patriotism served a postive influence.

   It is propaganda, and you can see the agenda behind it. But.. stuff like this (despite people's opinion of income tax and government, even at THAT time) really got people behind the war movement. Cartoons like this and comics like Captain America really united the country in WWII. So you have to give them credit. Though it's still propaganda, with a political agenda, it definitly played a huge role in WWII America. A cool piece of history to study.

    I would rather they use propoganda to try to make us pay taxes, rather than the methods they use now. It's not just donald duck anymore or spongebob...now they send armed agents to your house, bust down your door, and pull you out of bed with guns drawn at your head. They will even pull you out of the shower. All this to enforce an illegal tax on our labor. By the way, "income" is profits, not wages (private property). Read Tolstoy's books, and you will find out how income is defined.
